It was pouring rain this morning, which affected some of our plans. But, we didn't let it get us down. We ran a couple of errands and went to Publix to get the necessary free balloon and cookie. Z was much more interested in the balloon than the cookie. Then we went home and I let Z go "uh-stairs," which is actually downstairs to the basement to play with his train table. Then we had lunch and (both) took a nap. That rain really wore us out!
After nap, we packed up our mini-cupcakes and gerber cheese puffs and headed to Z's school for his special birthday snack. I just love watching him interact with his school friends. They are so cute with their little chairs and mini-table! His sweet teacher made him a birthday hat and everything.
After the school party I took Z to the park for a few minutes, luckily Nonna and Jido were on their way to the house, so I was able to get him to leave.
Once Baba came home, we had yet another celebration with a giant cupcake and more singing. I'm pretty sure he heard the birthday song 14 times today! It took him a while, but he sure got into that cupcake!
The party is Saturday. We can't wait! Happy Birthday, Z!!
Happy Bday to Zayd! (And we need to teach him a thing or two if he puts balloons before cookies. After all, his Mom and Aunt S have been known to take out some rolls of cookie dough....)
