Stone Mountain Day 2

Saturday morning we woke up and headed to the breakfast BUFFET in the hotel. The kids loved it!

Then we went to the park. The first thing we saw was the obstacle course, which they had a mini-version of, but it was still kinda hard for a 3 year old, or at least for my very cautious 3 year old.

He warmed up to it, and did pretty well, and we were all (including him) shocked when he did this:

Then we headed to the cable cars to ride to the top of the mountain. I was worried they would be freaked out, but they loved it!

It was beautiful! For a minute we felt like we were in some exotic location on The Bachelor, then we remembered we were on a family vacation more like the Griswold’s…

After we descended down the mountain in the cable car, we headed to the train attraction. There was a 20 minute wait, which was just the right amount of time to hit the candy store for mama the kids.

The train was like all train rides, slow, boring, but it’s okay because we needed the change of pace.

By this point we were hungry and felt pretty good about hitting up the attractions, but we had to hit the water attraction before we left. Nick had to go with him so he could keep up with him. Z was being Boba Fett and Nick was Jango Fett, while princess Leia and I watched.

Then we stumbled upon this big play area where you can shoot balls at people. It was literally at the exit, but we had to go there too. It was a no-brainer for Z, but Lu ended up liking it a lot too. She kept chasing after the balls saying “baa” “baa!”

We (finally) got out of there and went straight to the pool, Z’s orders, where we swam and had lunch. Then we went up to the room for naps (Mama’s orders), which is where we all took a glorious 2 hour nap! It was a thing of wonder, I tell ya.

Then we went back to the pool for Z, where he proceeded to jump off the side (something he has been less than crazy about for the majority of the summer) to Nick about 30 300 times. And, when I say jump, I don’t mean barely step off like he’s been doing with me and his swim teacher, I mean full-out-here-goes-nothing jump! We’ll see how that translates for his next lessons….

The life size chess board was pretty cool

Then we went back cleaned up and headed to dinner.

Needless to say, we were all pooped, so we crashed that night. It was a great and very full day!
