I love this time of year, because with it brings so much uninterrupted family time. We wait all year for days in a row with nothing to do, and this year was no different.
The day after Christmas, everyone woke up feeling much better and finally got the chance to enjoy some stocking treats! Peeps anyone?
After some down time and relaxing, we ventured out to run some errands and do a little shopping. And since we were all dressed up and feeling better, we took a few family pictures in our slightly unruly backyard.
How awesome is Nick’s Christmas sweater, fun gift from Nana!
The main reason we went out that night was to find Z a little TV stand for his TV and X box and to get Lu some washable dry erase markers and chalk for her easel.
At any given point between Christmas and today, you could find these two in Z’s room, him playing Skylanders and her drawing on her easel. More fun presents from Nana and Tata!
The next day we relaxed most of the day then headed back out to one of our favorite burger places and then to get yogurt. Character shirts for the win!
Over this extended break, we did lots of cuddling and watching movies, specifically, we watched a lot of Frozen. As into it as Lu has been for a while now, she really has never seen the movie in it’s entirety, until this week #latetotheparty. But, boy did we ever make up for lost time! It was free on demand, so I think our timing was pretty good, myself.
Besides Z getting sick, it was a very nice and relaxing break. Next up, two days of work and another break for New Years!
